Fully-funded four year PhD programme in an international scientific environment

PhD Years

After passing the Qualifying Exam, students at CPR, reNEW and CBMR should apply for enrolment at the Graduate School of Health and Medical Sciences (SUND) at the University of Copenhagen, choosing an appropriate Graduate Programme (e.g. MoMeD or Basic Metabolic Research (BMR)). Students at the Center for Biosustainability should apply for enrolment at the CFB PhD School and the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).

CFB PhD School

After starting the second year of the programme and enrolling as a PhD, students should be able to transfer up to 15 ECTS credits from the pre-doc year courses. To obtain a PhD in Denmark, courses totaling 28-35 ECTS credits must be completed.

During the PhD years, CPH Bioscience PhD students continue to benefit from the programme, with annual programme retreats and other activities.
